Tuesday

Inspections were not terrible today. Mechanicals passed. Plumbing has to wait until Thursday when the plumber can be there. Electrical only had one minor issue that will be changed Thursday as well. We have to put up a hand rail on our stairs to satisfy code - not that it will stay...but it will get us occupancy :) The weather is our biggest issue right now. Cleaning was to start tomorrow, but the cleaning crew is most likely not going to be able to make it due to the snow. We have decided to postpone delivery of furniture until next week. This will give the cleaning crew plenty of time to work without our stuff in the way, and we won't be in the way of finish work and/or inspections. Hopefully we'll have occupancy and can work all weekend getting the items we've purchased (currently boxed and piled in the rental's dining room!) moved and some work done. James has enough IKEA furniture to put together that he could start now and still not be done until Super Bowl time!
