Lots of work today

There were more trucks at the house today than we've ever had at one time! Besides the general contractor, there were 2 electricians, a plumber, and painters! Yesterday we were pretty down because so little progress was made. But today they were all working hard!
Look...not only are there light fixtures installed, but some of them actually WORK! They also got almost all of the outlets working, most of the light fixtures are hooked up, and they even worked on outside lights in these subzero temperatures. We're VERY happy with the electricians!

The plumber worked like a champ today too! Below is one of the sinks for the master bath...it will have a buddy just like it to it's right :) After 2 trips to Dublin this afternoon, I think we got a faucet that will work for the garden tub. Lord willing there will soon be a working toilet in the house too! We even got to decide on the height of the medicine cabinets/mirrors above the sinks today...that just sounds like a "close to being done" detail, doesn't it?!
And the Piece de Resistance...MY OVENS ARE INSTALLED!!!
Are those not the most beautiful things you've ever seen?!

In true-to-our-life fashion, we did spend the day running around to get everything they needed...thank God for the snow day! The entry light we picked wouldn't work, so we went and got another...which also won't work! A trip to Capitol Lighting tomorrow night should fix that. The cooktop seems to be missing it's regulator. Located one and payed for it to be overnighted from CA. Time will tell if that happens I guess... Living room ceiling fan is a bit crooked...I told James just to tip his head when he looked at it :) We got the closet systems chosen and Joe was taking measurements...and the closets have lights in them already too! And then...there's the painting. We love the paint colors, but we'd really love to see more of it on the walls! I'm hoping she's up for working the weekend. Then we should be in good shape!
